Erik Snyder
Biography
Mr. Erik Snyder is counsel at Gilbert Employment Law focusing on employment litigation. Mr. Snyder has extensive litigation experience, primarily representing federal sector clients before administrative forums such as the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission and the Merit Systems Protection Board, as well as federal and state courts.
Prior to joining Gilbert Employment Law as counsel in 2025, Mr. Snyder was an attorney with the Investigation and Prosecution Division of the U.S. Office of Special Counsel, where he spent more than four years investigating complaints of prohibited personnel practices within the federal government. Mr. Snyder also spent more than 13 years in private practice, obtaining favorable results for his clients in cases involving race, sex and disability discrimination, whistleblower reprisal, improper discipline, and other adverse actions. Mr. Snyder is also a member of the Metropolitan Washington Employment Lawyers Association where, from 2013-2016, he co-chaired the amicus committee and authored multiple amicus briefs concerning whistleblowing and other employment matters.
Mr. Snyder graduated cum laude from American University’s Washington College of Law in Washington, D.C. During law school, Mr. Snyder taught an elective on constitutional law to high school students through the Marshall-Brennan Constitutional Law Project and interned at the Superior Court of the District of Columbia, where he drafted opinions of appeals from the D.C. Small Claims Court. Mr. Snyder also holds a B.A. in mathematics from Kalamazoo College.
