GEL Senior Attorney Joseph Gebhardt has been appointed by Governor-Elect Wes Moore to be a member of the Moore-Miller Transition Team Steering Committee and the Transition Policy Committee on Jobs & Workforce Development.
Governor-Elect Moore will be the first Black Governor in the State’s history and Mr. Gebhardt is assisting with laying plans to build a stronger, more equitable Maryland. On the Transition Steering Committee chaired by Lt. Governor-elect Aruna Miller, Mr. Gebhardt has joined an inclusive and diverse team that will develop policy recommendations across state government, sharing his expertise in worker’s rights on the Jobs & Workforce Development Committee. On the Steering Committee, he serves alongside former Maryland Governor Parris Glendening and former Maryland Secretaries of State John McDonough and John Willis.
A Harvard Law School graduate, Mr. Gebhardt is an accomplished and decorated attorney. He is rated AV Preeminent by Martindale-Hubbell, a board member of the Metropolitan Washington Employment Lawyers Association, and in the Washington Top Lawyers Hall of Fame.
